Denise MacDonald, M.Div., RMFT, EAP

Founder and Director of Clearview Counselling Services and Equine Centre, Denise is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Member with AAMFT (American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy) as well as a Certified Equine Assisted Psychotherapist with EAGALA (the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association). Denise is also a Facilitator for TIR Therapy (Traumatic Incident Reduction)

In her private counselling practice, Denise helps individuals, couples and families develop and maintain healthy relationships and navigate the challenges and crises of life. As a consultant and facilitator, she has assisted municipal services, businesses, churches, community organizations and social services with issues such as compassion fatigue, stress, burnout, workplace bullying, spirituality and personal wellness.

Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR)
TIR is a rapid (compared to traditional therapy) method of effectively reducing traumatic stress from emotionally and/or physically painful events in the past. It involves re-experiencing past traumas in a completely safe environment, free of distractions, judgments, or interpretations.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy / Eagala
The Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) is dedicated to improving the mental health of individuals, families, and groups around the world by setting the standard of excellence in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Equine Assisted Learning, also known as horse therapy or equine therapy.
